Warehouse Manager - Austin

Our client, an industry leader of products, installation, maintenance and design consultation services to businesses in the Central and Southwest US, is seeking a Warehouse Manager for their location near their Austin Corporate Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Label and log materials into the CE system promptly and correctly.
  • Create Excel-based receipt logs and share updates with the PMs, PCs and Labor Superintendent.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular checks to ensure materials are accounted for.
  • Pull materials as needed based on job tickets and make sure everything is ready for crews in a timely manner.
  • Assist with providing necessary information for badging and site access.
  • Monitor stock levels for floor prep materials and adhesives to prevent shortages.
  • Schedule routine maintenance and repairs for trucks and forklifts to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Prepare job tickets for the warehouse team to organize pulls for pickups or deliveries.
  • Review and submit timecards for warehouse staff for payroll processing.
  • Track incoming orders and communicate with PMs about any missing or delayed materials.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Five years experience in warehouse management, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of warehouse personnel effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
