Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician

1st shift/ $24- $27

Aerotek is now hiring for a 1st shift mechanical assembly technician in Peoria, IL!

Description:

• Assemble custom products and systems
• Follow blueprints and schematics provided by engineering team
• Perform work on components related to the following: pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing
• Perform basic electrical system routing and wiring
• Perform surface finishing as needed using pneumatic polishing tools
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machine tools daily to assemble projects
• Utilize procedure manuals
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Utilize precision gaging tools to check accuracy of assembly
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in technical assembly or maintenance
• Previous mechanic experience preferred
• Ability to read and utilize blueprints/ schematics
• Previous experience using hand and power tools
• Associates degree or certification in industrial electrical technology or mechanic related field preferred
• High School Diploma/ GED

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
