Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing team that serves a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, small business owners, and high-net-worth families. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in both tax compliance and advisory services within one of the nations leading CPA firms. In this role, you will support family office clients with invoice processing, bookkeeping, reporting, and payroll, while also assisting in the preparation of varioustax returns. Youll collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to strategic financial projects, and build meaningful client relationships. With mentorship, training, and increasing responsibility, this position offers a clear path for professional growth and development into a trusted advisor.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our entrepreneurial clients by delivering high-quality tax services and building meaningful relationships. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.
Family Office Support - Perform various administrative and financial functions for high-net-worth family offices, including invoice processing, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll coordination. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
Tax Compliance & Advisory Services - Prepare and assist in the review of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals. Provide thoughtful, tailored tax planning and advisory services to middle-market businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Client Relationship Development - Build and maintain relationships with leaders of innovative, futurefocused organizations.
Strategic Financial Analysis - Support the completion of tax and financial analysis projects that are critical to clients strategic goals. Learn to identify opportunities for tax savings and operational improvements.
Research & Technical Expertise - Conduct in-depth research on complex tax and accounting issues. Stay current with tax law changes and apply findings to client situations with clarity and accuracy.
Client Communication & Support - Deliver high-quality service by responding promptly to client inquiries, proactively identifying potential issues, and offering solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experiences.
Regulatory Correspondence - Draft and manage correspondence with tax authorities, including responses to notices and audit support, under the guidance of senior team members.
Team Collaboration & Growth - Work closely with experienced professionals and receive mentorship to develop your technical skills and business acumen. Contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.

There are no supervisory responsibilities for the Tax Associate position.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting
0-2 years of relevant work experience in tax, accounting, or a related field
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong individual leadership, self-motivated and high achiever
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, mentally agile
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment with demanding and high-quality expectations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort with data analysis and reporting
Excellent interpersonal skills- strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work 9-10 hours per day (or ~45 to 50 hours per week) consistently throughout the year
Availability to work nights and weekends during peak deadlines
Familiarity with or a willingness to learn new software skills
Effective Time Management skills (self-motivated to manage schedule and projects)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand, growth-oriented environment with high energy
