Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Straightening Press Operator to join their team. As a Straightening Press Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Straightening Press Operator

Location: Clare, MI

What's the Job?

• Inspect parts for straightness and straighten warped parts to print specifications.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Utilize work orders and quality control packets to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints to make necessary machine adjustments for quality production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills to work with concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Problem-solving abilities to address a variety of concrete variables in practical situations.
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
