About This Opportunity

If the answer is “yes”, then we are looking for you!

We’re seeking a Senior Principal AI Solutions Architect to assist enterprises in adopting and scaling AI with the H2O.ai platform. This is a customer-facing, pre-sales leadership role where you’ll partner with executives and technical teams to design architectures, run strategic pilots, and guide customers on their end-to-end AI journey.

This position is based in New York, NY, and open to candidates in Boston, MA, and the Washington, D.C. area.

What You Will Do

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and technical leaders at enterprise prospects, customers, and partners, articulating H2O.ai’s technology vision, value proposition, and enterprise adoption roadmap.
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Partners to accelerate pre-sales cycles: conduct discovery, design solution architectures, deliver value-based proposals, and run customer working sessions that ensure success in proof-of-concepts, pilots, and enterprise deployments.
• Lead the technical strategy and architecture design for deploying H2O.ai solutions across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Showcase deployment best practices: containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD integration, MLOps pipelines, observability, scaling large data workloads, and governance/security for enterprise AI.
• Deliver compelling demos, workshops, and executive briefings across the full H2O.ai stack: Driverless AI, H2O Feature Store, EnterpriseGPT, ML Ops, Wave, h2oGPT, LLM Studio, and open-source products.
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to influence the roadmap with customer/field feedback, ensuring our platform continues to address real-world enterprise challenges.
• Drive thought leadership through reference architectures, blueprints, solution accelerators, blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and conference presentations.
• Contribute to pipeline-building activities with Sales and Marketing, including customer roundtables, industry events, and strategic partner engagements.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of technology architecture experience, with a track record of scaling enterprise applications and data-intensive workloads.
• 3+ years of customer-facing cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with deep expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven ability to design enterprise AI/ML deployments: MLOps, security, compliance, high availability, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
• Experience producing technical architecture diagrams, solution designs, and deployment strategies for diverse enterprise environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills: confident at whiteboarding with engineers and presenting to C-level executives.
• Experience in consultative selling and pre-sales solutioning is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple strategic accounts, and traveling up to 50%.
• Experience with H2O.ai products or other enterprise AI platforms is a plus.

How To Stand Out from the Crowd

• Deep knowledge of GenAI Ops, MLOps, DevOps, and production-grade AI deployment patterns.
• Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) in enterprise AI contexts.
• Prior experience in vertical industry AI solutioning (banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector).
