Summary: The Physician Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified physicians and advanced practice providers to meet the staffing needs of a healthcare organization. This role involves developing recruitment strategies, building relationships with medical schools and residency programs, managing the full-cycle recruitment process, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The recruiter collaborates with clinical leadership and administrative teams to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals and may also support planning and execution of recruitment events.Essential Functions: Recruitment of physicians and APPs after the position has been approved by the Board of DirectorsAssists recruitment team with screening of applicants to determine qualifications and interest levelPerforms advanced administrative duties, demonstrating independent judgment and initiativeParticipates in maintaining candidate tracking worksheet/database which reflects open positions, interviews scheduled, offers made, acceptance and non-acceptance of APP/physician rolesPlans and supports all recruitment related events, coordinating logistics and collaborating with the marketing department on promotional materials.Schedules on-site interviews with appropriate physicians and administratorsEstablishes network of relationships with training programs to effectively recruit new graduatesParticipates in coordination of physician relocation and onboardingProvides timely and responsive communication to the applicants Works closely with credentialing department to review and troubleshoot all new provider applicationsCoordinates travel arrangements for candidate when necessaryCreates and posts administrative openings on various job boardsAttends job fairs and career eventsResearches publications, websites, and other appropriate resources to post physician opportunitiesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRegular and timely attendance requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred1-3 years in a recruitment role, healthcare industry preferred, but not requiredWorking knowledge of employment lawExcellent organizational/time-management and multi-tasking skillsHighly professional and able to always maintain confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaborativelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeSkilled in group presentation and budget developmentAbility to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule to make decisions relating to assigned tasksVery strong customer service skills, positive attitude, highly self-motivatedAbility to interact and communicate respectfully with diverse populations and culturesSome travel required
