Job Title: Low Voltage Technician
Job Description

We are seeking two skilled Low Voltage Technicians to perform electrical installations at Riverside Medical Center and potentially NN City Center. The role primarily involves installing access controls and security cameras. This position is based at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control installations including card readers, connecting locks, and hardware.
• Install security camera systems and troubleshoot issues at Riverside Hospital.
• Provide excellent customer service as this is a customer-facing role.
• Ensure reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Essential Skills

• Must be DCJS certified or willing to become certified.
• Proven low voltage experience.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting access controls.
• 2+ years experience in construction, wire pulling, and installation of CAT 5/6 cables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or marine environments is required.
• Ability to use multi-meters for installation and termination tasks.

Work Environment

Technicians will start work at 8 AM and finish at 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The work is largely independent, requiring individuals to stay focused and present well at Riverside Medical Center. The role offers a stable and professional setting with minimal overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
