Principal Duties and Responsibilities

A variety of art classes are offered at Marian. For this teaching position possible courses include; Art Foundations, Art II, Pottery and Sculpture. Marian High School is a collaborative environment with strong professional learning communities. Responsibilities include teaching 6 classes, manage a homeroom and 2 plan periods per day.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates should have the ability to develop unique, engaging lesson plans and foster creativity in students.
The ability to guide students in analyzing and critiquing their own and others’ artwork and the ability to work with a variety of students and ability levels. Familiarity with digital art software preferred (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).

Education and Experience
Applicants should possess a Nebraska teaching certificate with a 9-12 Art endorsement.
