Summary of Position
Responsible for developing and executing strategies for branding, guest engagement, and revenue growth through digital marketing, public relations, and partnerships, while also managing budgets and analyzing performance data to optimize campaigns. Key responsibilities include creating and managing digital marketing efforts like social media and email campaigns, overseeing public relations and media relations, developing the annual marketing plan and budget, collaborating with sales and events teams, and analyzing campaign performance to identify trends and insights. The role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, strong leadership, and analytical skills to maintain brand consistency and achieve financial goals for Showboat Resort and Island Waterpark.

Qualifications and Skills
· Marketing resort style property including Hotel and F&B – amusement park experiences ideal
· Designing strategies/campaigns/promotions that drive incremental revenue and ROI
· Analyzing database - launching growth strategies including segmentation (VIP, etc.)
· Crafting digital media/email campaigns
· Driving brand strategies and loyalty programs
· Coordinating with operations to steer VIP service strategies across all departments
· Launching hotel marketing campaigns including a familiarity w/SEO
· Leading advertising strategies (print, digital, outdoor, etc.) with measurable objectives
Education and Experience
· 10 to 15 years as a marketing professional (Director level preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities
· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales strategies aligned with hotel goals, market trends, and target audience needs to drive revenue and occupancy.
· Brand Management: Oversee brand identity, messaging, and visual consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints to enhance brand recognition and reputation.
· Digital Marketing: Manage and execute digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
· Public Relations: Act as a hotel spokesperson, manage media requests, and coordinate public relations activities to enhance public image and promote the hotel.
· Advertising: Plan and execute both digital and traditional advertising campaigns, including the creative and media aspects.
· Partnerships and Sales: Build and maintain relationships with key partners such as travel agencies, corporate clients, and event organizers to generate business.
· Budget Management: Develop and administer the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of funds and management of expenses.
· Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance, measure return on investment (ROI), and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
· Collaboration: Work closely with sales, revenue management, and corporate leaders to ensure marketing strategies are executed with agreed upon tactics to optimize customer experience.
· Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales, events and marketing team, setting targets and guiding them toward achieving revenue goals.
