We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This position is ideal for professionals with extensive financial expertise who are eager to contribute to a dynamic environment within the food and food processing industry. The role requires a strong aptitude for forecasting, analysis, and financial management, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and meets its financial goals.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage fixed assets and maintain detailed records to support compliance and strategic decision-making.
• Develop and refine cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and operational priorities.
• Perform lease model analysis to optimize financial arrangements and support business objectives.
• Monitor and manage the accounts payable scorecard using advanced Excel techniques, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Lead budgeting initiatives and provide financial planning and analysis for SG& A expenses.
• Collaborate on goodwill impairment assessments and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Provide support and insights for mergers and acquisitions activities to align with organizational growth strategies.
• Utilize financial systems and tools effectively, with preferred exposure to .
• Deliver detailed financial analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making.• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Expertise in month-end close processes and fixed asset management.
• Strong skills in cash flow forecasting and lease model analysis.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Familiarity with goodwill impairment assessments is preferred.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
• Previous exposure to systems is advantageous.
