Job Description

Spruce Street Compliance is a compliance consulting firm based out of Philadelphia, PA (or potentially Washington, DC). Our firm is committed to supporting progressive causes and candidates nation-wide. This position will report to the firms Principal.

Salary range: $90,000-$120,000/annually + generous benefits package and professional development opportunities. DOE

Responsibilities

  1. Manage compliance team including Manager and Associate(s)
  2. Maintain client bookkeeping file, budget, and cashflow
  3. Providing extensive financial reports to clients
  4. Process disbursements and track outstanding invoices
  5. Registering and terminating clients federal and nonfederal registrations
  6. Oversee and process client payroll and staff benefit programs
  7. On-boarding and off-boarding client staff
  8. Maintain compliance with GAAP
  9. Perform bank and compliance software reconciliations
  10. Oversee compliance correspondence
  11. Create, implement, and administer efficient workflows
  12. Develop relationships with vendors and assist with client procurement
  13. Prepare and file federal and non-federal campaign finance reports

Experience and Skills

  1. 5+ years of experience work with political or non-profit organizations
  2. At least 3 years of experience with non-profit and/or campaign finance compliance
  3. Strong attention to detail and organized
  4. Experience with Excel, Google Business Suite, and Dropbox
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet strict deadlines
  6. Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines
  7. Willingness to take initiative
  8. Strong bookkeeping/accounting and budget building and tracking experience
  9. Extensive experience with Quickbooks Online
  10. Bachelors degree
  11. Commitment to supporting progressive causes
