Job Description

Congressional race for Connecticut's 1st Congressional District seeks talented, hard-working, and organized Campaign Manager for the 2026 cycle.

Candidate:

Jack Perry is a different kind of Democrat: A working-class family man and successful businessman in his 30s, Jack entered the workforce at a young age and founded his own successful trash hauling & recycling company in the midst of the Great Recession and built it to more than 50 employees. He has already committed to his campaign with a seed funding of $500k, and as a Southington Town Council member with a history of taking on MAGA Republicans is ready to work hard to win a multi-way congressional primary. Jack is running because he believes we need a new generation of Democrats who will once and for all deliver new economic policies that usher in a era of wealth and affordability- from housing to groceries to healthcare. Jack is ready to take out the trash in Washington and fight the corrupt Trump administration and will not waiver in the fight against authoritarianism.

Campaign Manager:
The Campaign Manager will be tasked with overseeing every aspect of the campaign for CT-01, on the ground through 2026. In partnership with relevant consultants, advisors and team members, the Campaign Manager will develop, implement, and manage the campaign plan to win a competitive, multi-way primary.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff hiring and management various departments, such as finance and communications
  • Handling of consultant communications and deliverables
  • Drafting and execution of strategic plan for the campaign (in conjunction with consultants and other advisors)
  • Budgeting & cashflow
  • Political outreach
  • Manage a team
  • Other tasks as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates will have at least one cycle as a Campaign Manager or two cycles as a Senior or Junior level campaign staffer in a race of similar size, scope and budget.
  • Candidates with significant experience managing staff or principles are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience with budgeting, cashflow, scheduling, fundraising, communications, organizing, political outreach, and consultant management of paid communications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, NGPVAN, Numero, or other similar donor database experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions

Compensation:

The position is contracted work offering a competitive base salary ranging from $7,000 to $10,000 per month , commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In addition to the base salary, a significant performance-based bonus will be awarded upon a successful outcome in the Connecticut 1st Congressional District Democratic primary. This bonus is designed to meaningfully reward the campaign manager's leadership and dedication in achieving victory.

We are committed to attracting exceptional talent and welcome open discussions to collaboratively design a salary and bonus structure that appropriately reflects the value of this critical role while aligning with the campaign's goals and resources.

Final compensation details, including the performance bonus, will be determined through direct conversations to reach a mutually beneficial agreement
