Your Role: Art Teacher

As an Art Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative minds of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring you are highly qualified and certified to teach, including holding a bachelor’s degree and state certification.
  • Being present and engaged from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM , Monday through Friday, throughout the school year.
  • Providing supervision during class, breaks, meals, and transitions to maintain a safe and optimal learning environment.
  • Researching, designing, and documenting art standards and curricula for students in grades K-4/5-8.
  • Teaching Art to all students Monday through Thursday.
  • Leading after-school enrichment programs two days a week, if included in the school’s offerings.
  • Coordinating all aspects of the Art program, including working with outside providers and maintaining records.
  • Assisting in the purchase and maintenance of art equipment.
  • Providing orientation on the art program during summer training for all staff.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate academic instruction into Art lessons.
  • Engaging families in their children’s education through events like student Art concerts.
  • Participating actively in meetings and ensuring alignment with the school’s core values.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 , based on factors such as relevant teaching experience and education certifications.
